I know that Matt Drudge and his website the Drudge Report is supposed to be considered a “right-wing,” but for the most part I think it is fair.

First off, Drudge’s site is basically links to stories by other media outlets and not much original reporting.

He site is often referred to as “conservative” and “right-winged” but I have been going to the site since the 90’s and I think it is a good mix of links to both conservative and no-conservative websites.

Fox News host Jesse Watters and media critic Howard Kurtz think that Drudge is going hard on President Trump and they don’t like it.

Kurtz says, “I have covered Matt Drudge since he was an unknown blogger and at this point in his career he’s primarily interested in clicks and riding the media wave and the media wave you may have noticed Jesse has been largely anti-Trump.”

First off Howie, I don’t think you covered Drude since he was an “unknown blogger,” because how did you know he was there if he was unknown?

“There’s just been additional emphasis on some of the negative stories that you would see on other mainstream platforms,” Watters said.

But it seems that while both Watters and Kurtz were not happy that Drudge was linking to anti-Trump stories, both were careful not to bash Matt Drudge or his site too much.

They know that more people read the Drudge Report than will ever watch their shows, so they don’t want to poke the bear too much.
