Former Jacksonville Anchor to Make a Run For Congress

Longtime Jacksonville Anchor Donna Deegan will announce later today that she is going to dip her toe into the political waters by making a run for Congress as a Democrat.

Deegan spent years at Tegna’s WTLV where she was known mostly as Donna Hicken and was married to Sports Anchor Dan Hicken.

The two got divorced and she then married Weather Anchor Tim Deegan and changed her name on air to Deegan.

Deegan is a three-time breast cancer survivor who founded The DONNA Foundation to help provide financial assistance and support to those living with breast cancer.

Disclosure: FTVLive worked with Deegan years ago in West Palm Beach, where she used the name Donna Clewis. I really don’t remember her and I’m sure she doesn’t remember me, but I thought I should put it out there.
