Reporter Pleas with Viewers for Help

News 12 Connecticut Reporter Frank Recchia became part of the story when he used the station’s newscast to put out a plea for help in trying to find his brother.

Peter Recchia went missing on Thursday, Oct. 3 and has not been heard from.

Frank Recchia says the police are ending their search for his brother - so now, he and his niece are leaning on the community for support.

"Please know Peter that you're loved, you're treasured. Whatever you're going through, we can go through it better together. We hope you're home safely soon," said Frank Recchia.

A silver alert has been issued for Peter Recchia.
