Scripps Hires New GM

Back in August, FTVLive told you that Scripps owned WKBW (Buffalo) parted ways with its General Manager Michael Nurse.

Well, now the company has finally gotten around to filling the job.

WKBW has hired Marc Jaromin as the new vice president and general manager for WKBW and he starts immediately.

Jaromin worked at the station in the past when it was being run into the ground by Granite Broadcasting.

The Buffalo News says that since leaving WKBW, Jaromin has been the vice president and general manager of WROC-TV in Rochester and director of media operations for Buckeye Broadband, an Ohio-based multichannel video programming distributor.

WKBW was the one time blowtorch of the market but was killed by Granite and has not been able to recover under Scripps.

In other words, Jaromin has his job cut out for him.
