Providence Anchor is Arrested

Cops clamped the cuffs on WPRI Anchor Patrick Little early Sunday morning.

Little was busted for "simple assault or battery" and disorderly fighting, according to a Newport Police report.

The incident took place at the Newport Blues Cafe.

The arrest report cites that Little was "suspected of using alcohol" and the force used was "personal weapons -- hands, feet, etc."

According to the report, “Disorderly Conduct 11-45-1: Thomas Patrick Little was a disorderly party when he intentionally and knowingly engaged in fighting. On 10/6/2019 at approximately 0100 hours Officer Sherman, Officer Drane, and I were in the area of One Pelham East, 270 Thames Street, for bar closing. While in the area we heard yelling coming from the area of the Newport Blues Cafe, 286 Thames Street, and responded on foot. Sgt. McGregor also responded."

"We are aware of the incident and are conducting our own review of the facts. We have no comment at this time," said WPRI management in a statement.
