Ashley Glass left WPEC (West Palm Beach) 8 years ago for a gig across the state at WFTS in Tampa.

But now Glass is back at WPEC.

The station announced that Glass will be co-anchoring the 4:30 to 7 a.m. newscasts with Matt Lincoln at the Sinclair station.

“Welcome home, Ashley. To say we are thrilled to see you again at CBS12 News is an understatement,” said Mike Pumo, WPEC’s marketing manager. “Your enthusiasm for the job and passion for this community hasn’t wavered. You’ve been missed!”

Glass started at the station on Monday.

She steps into the morning anchor chair after longtime anchor Suzanne Boyd announced last September that she was leaving the station to spend more time with her family.
