Tribune Goes Dark on Spectrum

Tribune and Spectrum are continuing their retrans pissing match and now 33 stations in 24 markets have gone dark on Spectrum’s cable.

The two sides had extended the deadline, but could not reach a deal. So now Tribune is off the Spectrum lineup and viewers are getting hosed.

In the end, the two sides will come to an agreement, of which the details will never be made public.

Then a few months later, Spectrum customers will see that their cable bill has gone up.

The rich get richer and the customer is left holding the bag.
