Trouble In Michigan?

It appears there’s somewhat of a purge going on in Grand Rapids/Kalamazoo.

Sources tell FTVLive that Sinclair’s WWMT-TV has lost about 40-years of experience in the last couple months. The latest to leave after 10 years, is Jessica Wheeler who posted her decision on Facebook:

Sources tell us that I-Team producer Carter Gent crossed the street for WOOD-TV last month after 20 years. Last week, nightside EP Erin Flynn resigned. She’s been there 11 years.

ND Matt Johnson seems to have his hands full with these defections. But in true Sinclair fashion, they’re not letting experience get in the way of progress. We’re told they just hired a weekend anchor with less than a year of experience.
