From the News Chair to the Mayor's Seat?

Nadine Woodward has worked as an Anchor in the Spokane market for almost 30 years.

She is retiring at the end of the February book, but there is speculation that she has some big plans for the next chapter.

Woodward worked for KREM from 1990-2009, then she’s been at KXLY since 2010.

This is what she had to say about leaving TV news. "I'm a news junkie, news is part of my DNA. And, I am eternally thankful to KXLY for hiring me 9 years ago, so that I could continue to do what I love a little longer," she said in an announcement. "It's hard to believe, I've been anchoring the news for two-thirds of my life. Honestly, sometimes I think I could do it in my sleep. But, it's time for a change. A BIG change! I'm staying in Spokane, taking on a more active role in my family's video production company, and working to become an influencer in our business community. My friends, I believe there are GREAT things to come!"

But that isn’t all she is going to do.

There is strong speculation that Woodward is going to make a run for the Mayor’s office in Spokane.
