KTLA has hired a new Morning News Reporter and they headed up to NorCal to do it.

The station hired Megan Telles from Tegna's KXTV in Sacramento and she will not report for the LA stations morning newscast.

This is a homecoming of sorts for Telles.

Here is the internal email that was sent to the KTLA staff and obtained by FTVLive:

Team,

Please join us in welcoming Megan Telles to the KTLA 5 News team.  Most recently, Megan was the morning anchor at KXTV in Sacramento. Prior to KXTV, she worked at KTNV in Las Vegas.

Megan grew up in Southern California.  She was born in West Covina.  Coming from a military family, Megan lived all over the world, including Wiesbaden, Germany, Savannah, Georgia, and Fort Rucker, Alabama.  When Megan was in fifth grade, her family settled in Rancho Cucamonga.

Megan graduated from Los Osos High School and USC.  She will be working on the Morning News as a reporter.

Thanks,
Don and Jason
