Burning Down the H̶o̶u̶s̶e̶ Transmitter
/WWTV (Cadillac, MI) was knocked off the air when a fire happened in their old station and the building that still houses their transmitter.
The fire broke out on Friday morning and the WWTV building was extensively damaged.
Firefighters had to tear down a lot of the building just to get at the flames.
"For decades this is where we brought you the news, it’s where you let so many familiar faces into you homes night after night and for all of us here, this was more than a building. This is where the 9&10 News team became a family," the station posted on their website.
WWTV signal was knocked out and at one point the station could only stream live programing.
The cause of the fire is not known.
