WDRB Sports Anchor/Reporter Eric Crawford is taking some time off after suffering a stroke.

Crawford said that he recently suffered a stroke in Florida but is "extraordinarily lucky" that the stroke was mild.

He is back in Louisville and wrote "all is well," but that he needs some time away from work as he recovers.

"But I’m so fortunate that things weren’t worse," Crawford wrote. "I can walk and speak fine, and basically do everything I could do before. I just need to do a few things differently than I did before."

The TV station said in its post that he'll be out for "the next few weeks" as he recovers.

Crawford joined WDRB in 2012.
