WMAQ Political Reporter Mary Ann Ahern is hoping to double her money.

No, she's not asking the boss for a raise, she's selling her Chicago area home.

Ahern and her husband bought the house in 1993 for $325,000 and now have listed on the market for $689,000.

The three-bedroom, 3,007-square-foot house was built in 1946,  has 2½ baths, a living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a formal dining room, a mudroom, a remodeled powder room, a family room with built-in bookshelves, a back wall of east-facing windows and a kitchen with granite countertops and a breakfast bar and eating area.

The house has a quasi-Colonial architectural style with a French-style brick facade and modern windows. In the back, French doors lead to a patio and a fenced backyard.

Put in your offer now.
