Now that Tom Brokaw is no longer a News Anchor and more of an elder statesman, he can give more of his opinion and take on the news.
After President Trump totally snubbed John McCain in nothing more than child like jealousy, the former NBC News Anchor had enough.
You said it Tom.
Sadly, the blind Trump supporters are once again totally be fine with this.
It is hard to believe that Retired United States Marine General and now White House Chief of Staff John Kelly did not either steer Trump into doing what is right from the get go, or resign on the spot.
The White House lowered the flag to half staff only briefly before it was returned to full staff.
Let's hope we never hear another word from Donald Trump about NFL players kneeling and not showing respect for our war heroes.
After all the blowback, late yesterday Trump finally came out with this statement:
Despite our differences on policy and politics, I respect Senator John McCain’s service to our country and, in his honor, have signed a proclamation to fly the flag of the United States at half-staff until the day of his interment.
I have asked Vice President Mike Pence to offer an address at the ceremony honoring Senator McCain at the United States Capitol this Friday.
At the request of the McCain family, I have also authorized military transportation of Senator McCain’s remains from Arizona to Washington, D.C., military pallbearers and band support, and a horse and caisson transport during the service at the United States Naval Academy.
Finally, I have asked General John Kelly, Secretary James Mattis, and Ambassador John Bolton to represent my Administration at his services.
Everyone saw the statement exactly for what it was. Well except for the Trumpsters that can never see a single fault with what he does.
When CNN media critic Brian Stelter takes shots at Trump on a daily basis, I call him out for it. Trump does not do everything wrong, despite what Stelter says. FTVLive has spoken both for and against Trump and members of the White House.
But, if you don't think that this was nothing more than a spoiled idiot throwing shade at a war hero and a longtime Senator, then you my friend are a complete idiot.
