Myrtle Barf
/As you know, FTVLive spent part of last week in Myrtle Beach seeing some old friends.
The drive to Myrtle from Florida is not fun. It's a straight shot up I-95, then you get off and drive the backroads to Myrtle Beach. I'm telling you, I think I saw as many confederate flags as I did cows during that part of the trip.
I would drive past a mobile home that was rusted out and falling apart. But the confederate flag flying from the mobile home looked almost new. The old pickup truck in the driveway looked like it could barely run, but it still sported not one, but two Trump/Pence bumper stickers. MAGA.
On Thursday I was playing some golf with my buddy and his son. As we were playing, I started to feel awful and just 11 holes in I was driving back to the clubhouse where I threw up right behind it.
I'm sure the people enjoying their lunch inside really appreciated seeing that (Sorry).
That's the first time I threw up since 2001 and let me tell you, it wasn't fun.
I then spent the next 15 hours in bed feeling awful.
I did watch the evening newscast from WMBF and I have to say, whoever Produced their 5PM newscast, is good. I have a strong feeling that Producer will not be in Myrtle Beach much longer.
On Friday, Rory, my friends and I went kayaking. Rory enjoyed the stops on the sand bars (picture) where he could explore the area and chase the birds.
I only banged out 5 or 6 stories for Friday and the FTVLive Intern handled the rest. Thanks to the Intern for steering the ship.
I don't know if I left my heart in Myrtle Beach, but I can assure you I did leave my lunch.
Let's do some news.
