It's been a very cold week in Alaska. Sources are telling FTVLive that several positions are being eliminated at Denali's KTVA-TV in Alaska.

Yesterday, primary anchor Emily Carson was told she was being let go as well as AM anchor James Gaddis and two others. Both anchors have been with the station about five years. Sources say a total of 11 positions are being eliminated.

Denali is reportedly also eliminating the 9am show and weekend 5pm. Joe Vigil will anchor the primary shows, solo from now on.

Management is reportedly telling talent the changes are part of research. With moves like this, we're betting it has to do with increasing profits.
