Out the Door in Nashville

WKRN Sports Anchor Joe Leadingham is leaving the station and the business, at least for now.

Leadingham says he's leaving the Nexstar station and has accepted a position as a medical device salesman.

He says that he's staying in Nashville, will continue his iTunes sports podcast — "Tank & The Intern" — and eventually hopes to get into sports talk radio.

Leadingham developed a passion for sport talk radio after serving as a guest host from time-to-time.

"If I could do sports radio at some point that would be awesome," he said. "I would like to get a shot at doing that eventually."

In the meantime he will cover a 13-state area as a salesman for InfuTronix, a new company that offers a pump designed to relieve post-surgery pain as an alternative to narcotics.

"It's a product I believe in because it's something I've seen a lot of with having covered athletes and seeing all the injuries, surgeries and things they go through," Leadingham said. "The device cuts down on the dependency of people that need pills and other medication afterwards."

Sounds boring as hell. We think we'll see him back soon.
