FTVLive spies tell us that KPHO/KTVK (Phoenix) Executive Producer Erik Van Sant is interviewing for the morning EP job at WGCL.
Both stations are owned by Meredith.
The seemingly cursed Atlanta station has had trouble finding a Morning EP that sticks around for any length of time.
The station had hired Andre Brooks and he lasted just 4 months.
Then after a gap, WGCL hired Shawn Reynolds. Reynolds also made it 4 months and then left for a job with Accu-Weather.
Meredith is hoping that the 3rd time is the charm and they are looking to hire Van Sant, who has family that lives in the area.
If he makes the job from Phoenix to Atlanta, our advice is to look for an apartment that offers a 4 month lease and go from there.
