The Money Honey Pitched Softballs to Trump
/When President Trump sits down with Fox News, more often than not it is with one of the network's "entertainers" and not a real news person.
He talks to Hannity, Steve Doocy and the guy that sits across from Steve Doocy, but rarely will he talk to a real news person. Some might be surprised to learn that Fox News actually does have real news people on their payroll.
One of those is supposed to be Maria Bartiromo, but she showed that she is just as much a Trump cheerleader as Hannity and the other Fox News entertainers.
Bartiromo talked to the President on Sunday and made little if any news. But, she was good at praising the President for his answers.
On the subject of trade wars, Trump talked about how the US is getting ripped off. Bartiromo observed encouragingly: "And the markets feel like they're trusting you at this point."
Trump responded: "I think they trust me, and the farmers trust me." Bartiromo's response: "They do."
Fox Business President Brian Jones stood by Bartiromo's interview even if it totally sucked. “Maria Bartiromo’s wide-ranging interview with President Trump made news on multiple fronts and elicited answers to numerous questions," Jones said in an emailed statement. "We are proud of her hard work and continued success across each of her FBN and FNC programs.”
For the critics of Fox News is was just another example of the network drinking the Kool-aide served up by the White House.
You do have to feel for the "real" news people that work at Fox. They have to sit by and watch as the network's entertainers keep landing Trump and keep making Fox News look alike nothing more than Pro-Trump TV.
