Station Evacuated Because of Wildfire

KRCR (Redding) news crews have been very busy covering the Carr fire and trying to keep viewers informed. 

But their on air coverage stopped just after 10:30PM after the station employees were told they have to get out. 

“Right now we are being evacuated,” said anchor Allison Woods during the broadcast. “We are going to leave the station because it is now unsafe to be here.”

Anchor Tamara Damante then ended the broadcast with this urging: “Please evacuate everyone and stay safe.”

The station also told viewers on social media that they had to get out.
