Bumped Up in the Rock

KARK has bumped up Anchor Susanne Brunner.

The station named Brunner the new co-anchor of KARK 4 TODAY.

Brunner makes the transition after serving three years as anchor of Fox16's Good Day broadcast.

She'll also continue to report on education and health issues in Central Arkansas.

"I'm beyond excited to join the KARK 4 TODAY team and to continue serving our viewers weekday mornings," Brunner said of the new position. "Arkansas has become such a special place for me to call home the last five years. We have a dedicated team in place that is so unique to Arkansas, and we promise to get your day started on the right foot with the news that's important to you."

"Susanne will be a fantastic fit with KARK's morning team," said KARK News Director Austin Kellerman. "She's about as positive a person as you'll come across. You won't find anyone more passionate about informing the public and making Central Arkansas a better place to live."

Brunner joined KARK and Fox16 in 2013 as a weekend anchor and reporter. Prior to coming to Little Rock, Brunner anchored for stations in California and Washington. She’s a graduate of San Francisco State University.

Brunner replaces Mallory Brooks -- who now anchors Arkansas Today and KARK 4 News at 4pm.

She starts her new gig next week.
