On Thursdays, We Wear Pink
/It's a long way from Jackson, Mississippi....
It wasn't that long ago that Kristina Pink was working at WDBD in Jackson, MS, with a dream of something bigger and trying to survive on a small market salary.
She started making the broadcast climb, with a stop at WGNO (New Orleans) and then to WTVJ, the NBC O&O in Miami.
But come this Fall, Pink will be stepping onto a huge stage.
Word is that Pink will be the sideline Reporter when Fox debuts, “Thursday Night Football." Pink will join Joe Buck, Troy Aikman and Erin Andrews on what will surely be one of the top rated shows on TV this Fall.
Fox has not yet confirmed the hiring of Pink and FTVLive reached out to her Agent Rick Ramage and have yet to hear back.
But, FTVLive hears the deal is done and the New York Post also confirmed the story.
Fox is hoping to make Thursday Night Football the gem on their schedule and is planning on pumping a lot of promotion and money into the show.
Fox paid $3.3 billion for 11 games per season over the next five years.
For Kristina Pink, it is proof that hardwork and talent pays off and it is a hell of a long way from Jackson, Mississippi.
