Sinclair Bumps Up one ND, Names Another

Sinclair has bumped up WLOS/WMYA (Asheville) Julie Fries to Regional News Director for the group. 

Fries has been with WLOS/WMYA for the past seventeen years, serving as news director for the past eleven.

FTVLive gives props to Sinclair for promoting a woman to a senior management position. 

As for WLOS/WMYA they have already found Fries replacement and they didn't have to go far. Brian Nemitz, who has been the Deuce at the station the past 3 and a half years is moving up to the big chair. 

Before Asheville, he worked as Executive Producer at WTVJ in Miami, FL and at WEAR in Pensacola.

“Julie has done exceptional work for us and is being recognized for her achievement with a well-deserved promotion,” WLOS/WMYA GM JoeFishleigh stated.  Fortunately for us, we have an accomplished newsperson like Brian Nemitz who will hit the ground running and has a vision to lead us going forward, continuously improving how we do news and how we serve our community and our viewers.”

The changes official take effect on Monday.
