When Tribune split up the Broadcast and the Publishing divisions, the Tribune name stayed with the broadcasters and the publishing arm took the stupid name "Tronc."

Well, now that Tribune is getting this/close to being acquired by Sinclair and the Tribune name leaving the broadcast world, the name will still live on.

Tronc has smartly decided to drop the stupid name and is renaming itself back to "Tribune Publishing."

With AT&T buying Time Warner, they say that the new company will be called "Warner Media." No word if they were thinking about calling it "Wronc"?

With Tronc ditching their stupid name and Time Warner keeping it classy, maybe it's time for Tegna to give it some thought.
