Bumped Up in the Windy City

When longtime WLS (Chicago) Anchor Kathy Brock announced that she was stepping down, everyone knew that her replacement would come from within. 

The ABC O&O is well known for promoting from within and the station always seems to have a deep bench of anchors from which to choose. 

That was once again the case. 

Later this month, Cheryl Burton will take over Brock's spot on the 10PM newscast. Burton has been with WLS for 26 years and proved that good things come to those who wait. 

As for Brock's spot at 6PM? That is going to Judy Hsu who has only been at the station for 17 years. 

Like we said, the station has a deep bench. 

Congrats to both on getting the bump up.
