Back in July of 2015, FTVLive told you that KTXL in Sacramento had hired Ty Steele as their evening anchor.

But, for the past 3 weeks, Steele has been missing from the air and sources tell FTVLive that he is gone from the Tribune station.

“Ty is a dynamic addition to our news team. He brings freshness and energy with solid journalism to FOX40. Ty and Stefanie Cruz will make a great anchor team. We’re happy to have him coming on board to FOX40,” News Director Ed Chapuis said at the time of his hiring.

Chapuis is long gone from the station and it now appears that Steele is as well.

Sources tell FTVLIve that since Steele went missing, Reporter Eric Rucker has been filing in since next to Nikki Laurenzo.

The Tribune station has said nothing about the missing Anchor....because you know.... the communications business.
