WGN (Chicago) announced that they have bumped Mike Janssen up the food chain, naming him  Weekend Evening News weather forecaster.

Janssen is replacing Jim Ramsey, who retired from WGN-TV after a thirty-year career.  Janssen will continue as a meteorologist for WGN WeatherCenter and CLTV.

Janssen joined WGN Weather in 2010, as a producer/forecaster in the weather center, quickly making a mark, by creating "Friday Forecaster," a fun segment on WGN Morning News.  Before joining WGN-TV, Janssen worked as a meteorologist and reporter at WSIL in Carterville, Illinois, WYIN in Merrillville, Indiana, and WGNO in New Orleans.
