NY Anchor to Speak to Grads

WCBS Anchor Kristien Johnson will speak to the graduating class of William Paterson University on Friday.

The article that reports the story, describes Johnson as the co-anchor of "The CBS Evening News" in New York City.

Ummm....never mind.

Anyway, Johnson says that she plans on telling the grads that her theme will center around preparation and perseverance, "The two go hand in hand to achieve success," Johnson said.

"I worked very closely with administration and staff in what was an engaging and rewarding process," Johnson said. "The fact that administrators requested I fill this meaningful role on commencement day is an honor."

Roughly 2,100 graduates will be conferred bachelor's degrees at the 9 a.m. ceremony at the Prudential Center in Newark. The event is expected to draw about 10,000 people.

Johnson is one of the good people in this business and it is great to see her recognized for her positive attitude and given a chance to share her message.
