Going Against the Sinclair Overlords

While almost all the Sinclair stations bowed down to the corporate office and sold their news soul by airing the mandated script of Donald Trump talking points by their anchors, one station went against the flow.

In Madison, WI market 81, Sinclair owned WMSM did not air the "must run" from corporate. Last night they tweeted out this message and in doing so, showed that there are still some people in this business that have a backbone.

Call them the little station that could and it will be interesting to see how Sinclair reacts to the station ignoring their demands.

Yesterday, FTVLive showed you that KOMO (Seattle) Anchor Mary Nam, who also works at a Sinclair station, did not back down from a tweet by President Trump when he tried to praise Sinclair for airing his own talking points.

We gave big props to Nam for standing up for Journalism and not bowing down to the corporate pressure.

Also, Jeff Hoover who works as an Executive Producer at WGN, a Tribune station that is being purchased by Sinclair, tweeted this out.

While Sinclair employees thousands of people it is great to see that at least a handfull of those people are still willing to stand up for Journalism and what it truly stands for.
