Tegna's On a Hiring Spree

KVUE the Tegna station in Austin has 18 jobs posted on the Tegna website. 

18! 

Tegna owned WFAA in Dallas has 16 job openings. 

KPNX in Phoenix has 13 jobs now open.  

It wasn't that long ago that Tegna was busy laying off people and giving other longtime employees "buyouts."

Now it appears the company is on a hiring spree. 

One source tells FTVLive that he left a Tegna station and his job has been posted. When someone inquired about the salary, the source said it was thousands less than what he made. 

It appears that Tegna has a number of openings, but the jobs are paying less. 

Is this a great business or what?
