EXCLUSIVE! Sacked in Las Vegas
/Sources tell FTVLive that KTNV Anchor Steve Wolford was called into the corner office this week and told that his services were no longer needed.
His bio has been scrubbed from the Scripps station's website and he has left the building.
Wolford had been at the Sin City station since 2005 and was well liked. Before Vegas, he was the main Anchor at WPEC in West Palm Beach.
Station sources tell FTVLive that starting Monday, Wolford will be officially replaced by Todd Quinones.
Quinones joined the station in January 2016, coming from Philly.
Also starting on Monday, Quinones' morning gig will be taken over by Dayna Roselli.
Roselli will join Beth Fisher on the morning show, meaning that KTNV will have two females waking up Las Vegas viewers.
While FTVLive applauds the station for going against the wisdom that you have to have male and female anchor the newscast. We have to give the station a big thumbs down for kicking longtime Anchor Steve Wolford to the curb.
This clearly seems like a case of kicking the old guy and his big paycheck out.
So much for loyalty.
