Sinclair Hires Crisis PR Firm

After the complete debacle by Sinclair to force their Anchors to read a script that basically blasted the rest of the media world, the company was knocked on its heels by the backlash.

Now, word is that Sinclair has retained the crisis communications services of Ronn Torossian, a public relations executive and Republican activist with Trump ties.

It's never a good thing when your company has to hire a crisis PR manager.

FTVLive was the FIRST to show you the memo sent out by Sinclair CEO Chris Ripley that was meant to try and clam the staff. Sources tell FTVLive that the crisis PR team advised Ripley to send the memo.

"Do that actually believe this bullshit and do they really expect us to?" said one Sinclair staffer after reading the memo.

As for Crisis PR guru Torossian, Karl Frisch, executive director of Allied Progress said this, “Sinclair is clearly in crisis mode and they’ve turned to a PR fixer from the Trump orbit to help them out – a clear sign of desperation as the company continues to defend its unfathomable decision to force anchors at its local stations to read the exact same political talking points on air, word for word,”

Frisch then added, “This is a guy who has defended pornographers, cigarette and gambling interests, and people very close to President Trump. Given Sinclair’s shaky grasp of ‘right and wrong,’ the company should feel right at home with Torossian.”

Torossian is the founder, president and CEO of 5WPR, a public relations firm based in New York and in the past did work for "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis.

He should fit in nicely at the all boys club at Sinclair.
