2 and out in Indianapolis

Meteorologist Brittany Rainey spent her 2 years in Indy at WXIN/WTTV and now she's headed to better weather.

Rainey (can you have a better name for a Meteorologist?) has left the station for Fox O&O WTVT in Tampa.

Rainey is no stranger to the Sunshine State, she's a Florida native and a Florida State University graduate.

“I have some bittersweet news,” the Florida native said on Facebook. “I am sad to be leaving Indianapolis, but I am headed home to Tampa!”

During her 10-year career, Rainey also worked at TV stations in in Missoula, Montana; Hastings, Nebraska; Huntington, West Virginia; and Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The Indy stations are owned by Tribune and will soon be taken over by Sinclair.

In other words, Rainey got out just in time.
