ABC Makes An Interesting Move In San Francisco

It's been 3 months (and earlier version said 16 months, Damn Intern) since KGO-TV has had a GM. In December 2017, FTVLive told you that then GM Bill Burton was getting promoted to the network. Well now, Disney has decided to take a network executive and put them in charge of their San Francisco O&O.

Tom Cibrowski, SVP of Content at ABC News, will be running the show as president and GM. Cibrowski has worked at ABC for almost 30 years. He was senior EP of GMA when it broke the Today Show's 16 year run as #1.

It appears ABC O&O president Wendy McMahon is looking to strengthen the news product at KGO. Which means, it could get a little dicey for KGO ND Tracey Watkowski.
