Pushed Out in the Hampton Roads

On Friday, FTVLive told you that WAVY (Hampton Roads, Virginia) Anchor Deanna LeBlanc left the station to go on maternity leave and now she has decided that she's not coming back to the Nexstar station.

It's true that she is not coming back, but the goodbye was not as cordial as both sides are making it seem.

Sources tell FTVLIve that LeBlanc 's contract was coming up and station insiders tell FTVLive that she wanted to stay at WAVY.

One source tells us that since LeBlanc just had a baby and her husband was in the military and is often deployed, she was hoping the station would give her a new deal, but change her hours a bit to work around her raising a baby?

"Deanna has been nothing but a model employee and the station would not give in on changing her hours," one station insider said. "She had no choice but to quit and that was not what she wanted to do," the insider added.

It seems when it comes to having a baby and a husband in the Military, this Nexstar station doesn't really care. It's their way or the highway.
