Earlier this morning, FTVLive told you about how viewers watching KRIS (Corpus Christi) newscast on Monday night got quite a surprise.

During the station's 9 p.m. newscast, while doing a story about a new bridge the screen went black. A voice is then heard whispering the words "f**k it, lick it, smell it."

When the shot cut back to Anchor Stephania Jimenez, she quickly apologized for what just happened.

FTVLive reported FIRST and EXCLUSIVELY that sources told FTVLive that the audio heard on the air was a KRIS Reporter.

Sources say that before the Reporter cuts audio, he says "fuck it lick it suck it." Now it has gone out on the air and it appears the Reporter is at least looking at a few days off without pay.

Update to the story, the Reporter got more than a few days off, he was fired. News Director Paul Alexander issued a statement. "We immediately began an investigation of the mistake and how it occurred. We learned that a series of technical and human errors lead to the mistake," Alexander wrote in the statement.

"We have taken swift and appropriate action with the employees who were involved in the broadcast in accordance with our company policies. That action included a termination, a suspension, and reprimands," he wrote.

Alexander would not release any names in the incident.

Here is the video of the incident:
