We Told You!

FTVLive FIRST told you back in February and we were right on the money.

When WABC News Director Camille Edwards left the station on December 1st of last year, she told the staff she would be back to work on January 2nd.

The 2nd came and went and Edwards never returned to WABC.

On February 15th, FTVLive FIRST reported EXCLUSIVELY that Edwards was not coming back.

Yesterday, WABC and Edwards finally made it official.

She sent a memo to the staff, that many inside the newsroom took as complete B.S.

"As most of you know, the last six months have been extremely hard for me. I lost two of the most important people in my life during a short period of time,” she wrote in the memo. “That kind of loss forces you to really look at your own life. I’ve spent the last few months on bereavement leave thinking about what’s next for me and opportunities I want to explore. I’ve made the really difficult decision to leave my post at WABC," she added.

But, Edwards went on leave from the station after being named in two different lawsuits involving discrimination.

"She's trying to spin this as her decision, but no one is buying it," said one WABC staffer to FTVLive.

Edwards boss WABC's General Manager Dave Davis was also shown the door as part of the scandal.

TV news is never good when it comes to reporting the facts on themselves.
