Life After News

It used to be when you left TV news, you headed into a job in PR.

But, now it seems that a lot of former TV people are becoming mouthpieces for the local school district.

That's where you will find former WPVI's (Philly) Amy Buckman.

The Lower Merion school district has hired Buckman as their director of community relations. Since she is starting well into the school year, she will make a prorated salary of $105,000. Sure beats being an MMJ making $22 grand.

“I just want to say I’m thrilled and honored and looking forward to serving the board, the administration, the staff, the students and the community in this challenging new role for me as director of school and community relations,” Buckman said.

I'm sure the cushy hours and the big paycheck don't hurt either.
