Adam Atchison, a Colorado native who spent seven years as a morning news anchor at KOAA (Colorado Springs) is returning to local airwaves.

After leaving in late 2014 to take a position in Albuquerque, Atchison is back in town but this time as a morning anchor at local CBS affiliate KKTV.

"I grew up in Colorado, graduated from Colorado State University, and spent nearly a decade of my career here,” commented Atchison. “This is where my wife and I want to raise our kids and I'm looking forward to continuing to serve the community at KKTV 11 News.”

“With Adam’s knowledge of Colorado and his love for our community, he is the perfect addition to our KKTV 11 News family,” said KKTV news director Liz Haltiwanger. “Along with his warm personality, Adam is committed to our mission of bringing our viewers breaking news from overnight, and getting them ready for the day ahead.”
