Life After News in Indy

A Reporter with WRTV (Indianapolis) is leaving the station and TV news for a job in the health care industry.

Julie Pursley has been at WRTV since 2001, but now she's leaving  join Community Health Network as a communications manager starting Feb. 26, the Indianapolis-based health care provider announced Tuesday.

She is expected to manage, develop and implement communications and marketing plans for Community’s north region.

“Today, I am officially hanging up my microphone at RTV6,” Oelschlager said Monday in a Facebook post.

“I’m headed to Community Health Network to join the Communications Team," she wrote. "I just want to say thank you for allowing me into your homes and to share your stories. It has been an amazing ride, literally, from the front seat of Skycam6 to the backseat of a 2-seater IndyCar.”
