Jacksonville Station's Crime Analyst is Arrested
/Graham owned WJXT (Jacksonville) Crime Analyst Gil Smith was arrested last night on the charge of soliciting for prostitution.
Smith was booked into the county jail about 7:20 p.m. the same jail he had been to many times when he worked as a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Smith worked as a Sheriff for 26 years before retiring and joining WJXT as the station's Crime Analyst.
When asked for comment, WJXT Vice President and General Manager Bob Ellis said, “We don’t publicly discuss station personnel matters.” "But damn this is embarrassing," he could have added, but did not.
