Life After TV News

Last May, WLWT meteorologist Jennifer Schack signed off from the station and left the business altogether.

After four years as weekend morning meteorologist, Schack left and is now the new media correspondent for the Diocese of Covington.

"My Catholic faith has been a very important thread in my life, personally. I believe that my broadcasting career was readying me for this work and I'm excited to be here," she said.

"A lot of people have asked me how I've gone from being a meteorologist on TV to working for the Catholic Church. It's been a very natural transition for me," she said. "I've always been open to God calling me to merge my faith and my work.  As a practicing Catholic, being able to use my communication skills to work for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is a perfect fit."

She said the career change was more family friendly (she has three young children), and an opportunity for "merging my Catholic faith with my work."
