Hearst Clams Up on Anchor's Arrest

A couple of days ago, FTVLive FIRST told you that WPBF (West Palm Beach) Anchor Farron Salley was busted for DUI.
The Palm Beach Post finally got around to the story, which means you will now likely see it on the other blogs (We Lead, They Follow) and it seems the station is still staying tight lipped about their employee’s arrest.
The Post writes that, “Multiple attempts to reach officials at WPBF for comment and email were unreturned Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.”
The Hearst station just shows how hypocritical TV stations can be when it involves their own.
You can bet if the Mayor, a County Commissioner was arrested by police, WPBF would have a crew or crews all over the story.
But, their Anchor is pinched by police and they don’t even mention it or will comment on it.
Such a double standard that hurts the credibility of the station and Journalism as a whole.
Pisses me off to no end.
