Headed to the Beach

KAKE (Wichita) Anchor Jim Grimes is leaving the station and headed to the beach.

Grimes, who has anchored the 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts for KAKE since 2016, is moving to West Palm Beach, Fla.

Grimes is headed to Sinclair’s Palm Beach train-wreck WPEC as evening Anchor.

Turnover at the Sinclair station is happening so fast, it’s hard to keep track.

“From Houston to Dallas and now Wichita, Kansas, Jim Grimes is the real thing, and one of the best ‘live shot reporters’ I ever worked with,” said News Director Anthony Maisel in a news release. “I will miss him.”
