Longtime KFMB Anchor Nichelle Medina has been missing from the station as she was on a “leave of absence.”

Now, it appears she is not coming back.

Here is the internal memo sent to the staff and obtained by FTVLive:

Everyone,

Nichelle Medina notified us today that she has decided to stay home for personal and family reasons and will not be returning to News 8.

She has been a big part of our mornings for nearly 18 years and will be missed. We wish her all the best in this new chapter in her life.

DEAN ELWOOD
Vice President of News 8

Medina is now the third anchor to leave under TEGNA. Chief Meteorologist Matt Baylow "retired" in June. Morning anchor Dan Cohen left a year ago for Fox LA.
