Hearst Names new ND in Des Monies

Longtime KCCI News Director Dave Busiek announced awhile ago that he was retiring.

But, he still hasn’t left the building and won’t be doing so until next month.

But, when he finally does leave, Hearst announced that Allison Smith will takeover the ND gig at the station.

Smith is currently the Deuce at sister station WLWT in Cincinnati.

“There is no bigger honor for me than to return to KCCI as news director,” said Smith. “This team of journalists sets the standard for storytelling within the industry. I am excited to lead this newsroom, with its strong commitment to the community, into the future.”
