From Buena Noches to Good Evening

Alicia Barrera is doing something you don’t see happen much in television news.

The Reporter is making the switch from Spanish-language news to English-language.

She’s leaving Telemundo 40 and is headed to KSAT 12 in San Antonio.

It is great to see an English station look to their Spanish counterpart for talent. While there are thousands of Latino Journalists, they are still under represented in English speaking TV newsrooms.

Barrera posted the news (in both Spanish and English) to her social media.
