Gone in Waco

Word out of Gray’s KWTX/KBTX is that General Manager Mike Wright has left the station and did so with little notice.

Insiders say that Wright claims he resigned because running a station in Bryan, Texas and Waco, Texas was just too much.

Sources think the claim is B.S, because they say that Wright’s resignation was effective the next day and his office was cleaned out. Also, sources say that a planned farewell on TV was cancelled at the last minute.

He had been GM at KBTX since 2003 and KWTX since 2014.

There is talk inside the station of an incident that happened in Nashville at a conference.

Apparently, what happens in Nashville, does not stay in Nashville.
