WTAE Reporter Brittany Hoke is getting a bump up to the anchor chair.

The Hearst station has moved Hoke to weekend evening anchor and added meteorologist Alex Alecci to the newscast. They’ll join co-anchor Ryan Recker.

“Brittany Hoke has established herself as the go-to reporter in Westmoreland and Fayette counties,” said Jim Parsons, news director. “Our viewers know that if there’s a big story, Brittany is the trusted source for up-to-the-minute information.”

Hoke, a native of the Pittsburgh area and a Point Park University graduate. She has news anchor experience from working at two West Virginia stations: Clarksburg (WDTV-TV) and Charleston (WSAZ-TV).

She joined WTAE in June 2017.

She replaces Jackie Cain, whose last day on-air was Oct. 19. Ms. Cain is going to anchor the news at KSTP-TV in Minneapolis.
