Get Our App, See Dead Bodies
/TV stations love to try and get viewers to download the station’s app on their phone.
But, sometimes it might be best to not push viewers to the app.
Like this example from Cox’s WPXI in Pittsburgh.
WPXI had their chopper over the scene of a home where a number of dead bodies were found.
The station then says that if viewers had the station app, they would have been among the first to see the dead bodies and know about the story.
Maybe, just maybe viewers sitting down to lunch, don’t want to see dead bodies on their phone and read about the gruesome details.
As for a station using the murder of people to push their app?
More than a bit tasteless don’t you think?
